Editing

Editing is a crucial element of the post production procedure. Part of editing is blending series of shots, creating logical progressions in the film and eventually producing a complete film with consistent narrative.
Editing is in essence accumulating a series of shots into a coherent order. I and some other group members had the job of editing this footage, making us the film editors. Editing does not only consist of placing clips into a coherent order or to tell a realistic narrative. Editing can additionally be layering clips, dialogue and audio with the additional editing to produce a narrative and creating different affects through rhythm among other aspects of editing
Film editing is very useful in creating everything from an atmosphere to colours. Special effects are another feature of film editing.
For our film, we decided to incorporate continuity editing, to make it simple and under-complicated.

Issues
Firstly, our main issues were technical. One of our main problems was that the camera had been filming in widescreen, meaning that loading times had increase due to the letterboxing process.
Additionally, we had issues connect particular LED cables with the Macs, which is something we must contemplate on our main task.
Another issue, was the editing process. As I am new to Macs I found it difficult to edit in the new format, despite my previous experience of film editing.

Conclusion

To conclude, we had various issues with filming which were impossible to predict, and will ultimatley help plan our main task through contigency plans. Moreover i have gained some valuable experience on how to produce certain aspects of film.
